This program gives donors the opportunity to have a personal relationship with a courageous brain tumor patient and play an important role on their "team" as they battle the disease.

The BKBTF is proud to offer financial sponsorship to in-need brain tumor patients seeking to pursue alternative treatments through the BKBTF Financial Assistance Program. We are currently sponsoring several patients covering the costs associated with specific nutritional supplements, nutritional consulting, acupunture, homeopathy and other alternative treatments. Many of these patients are highlighted in the ‘Profiles in Courage’ section of our website. In many cases these alternative treatments are not covered by traditional insurance and BKBTF seeks to fill this gap and give these patients the opportunity to pursue the holistic path they deem appropriate. Were it not for the BKBTF, the majority of these patients would be forced to pay upwards of $800 per month to cover the additional costs of their holistic program.

The majority of our sponsored patients are referred to us from the Nutritional Solutions Consulting Group ( and its founder Dr. Jeanne Wallace, PhD based in North Logan, UT. Dr. Wallace is one of the preeminent alternative treatment experts in the country who specializes in brain cancer. We are very pleased to partner with her in sponsoring several of her patients and feel fortunate to have developed such an important bond with her and her innovative practice.

Patients interested in applying for the BKBTF Financial Assistance Program should email the Foundation at Requests are given priority on a first-come first-serve basis and although we would like to sponsor each and every in-need patient, we are unable to do so at this time due to obvious financial limitations. If sponsorship positions are available, patients will be asked to fill out a confidential health history describing their condition in detail, as well as a financial disclosure form detailing their current and projected financial situation. After filling out the appropriate documentation and completing an interview with a BKBTF representative, the patient will be informed whether or not he/she is eligible to be enrolled in the Financial Assistance Program at this time.
